Their brand is incredibly well-defined globally. This was the challenge we faced when tasked with creating a new visual language for Oreo India that had to be relevant to its family centred audience while staying true to its global DNA. The solution lay in uncovering all the endearingly playful moments between parent and child. These moments inspired us in creating Oreo India’s new design language: A product of play. Whatever we create, it should look like we have had fun making it! Whether an Instagram post or a Facebook story, the visual aesthetic should be inspired from the playful moment they each represent. This can be brought to life in many ways. It might be as simple as a bold drop shadow on a headline, or the painted background texture to a post, or the collage nature in which it has all been assembled. A rich world of play inviting users to interact with us! Of course, we need to be uniquely Oreo while we have fun – so there are a few golden rules: 1. Always hero the cookie 2. Always be blue 3. The frozen ready to eat food aisle is no different. Haldiram’s competitors across the globe have upped their game by successfully leveraging the codes of new-world food. However, Haldiram’s frozen food packaging felt like it was from a bygone era. Looking to reinvigorate their frozen food range, we delved straight to the heart of what Haldiram’s stood for. Being over 80 years old, still family owned, born and bred in India, they are one of the few that really understands what food means to family. This is where the idea for the packaging range was born: an invitation to dine at the Haldiram’s family table. Our new design system is a modern twist on what makes Haldiram’s unique: age old recipes, traditional cooking techniques and the use of fresh ingredients. However, their brand identity had become dated, losing resonance with the current generation. The solution was in their name itself. Old towns across the world such as Ho Chi Minh, Ipoh &amp; Georgetown to name a few, all have something in common. They are places that creators, artists and innovators call home. Drawing in crowds who want to be immersed in the modern reinterpretation of a cultural place. We channeled this spirit into OldTown’s new brand personality to position them as the ‘Progressive Artisan’. Creating a brand identity that is a fresh take on their craft and rich heritage. In a land where young love is a forbidden fruit, Silk has encouraged young lovers ‘to go further for love’ in their ad campaigns for years. We brought their brand truth to life through our design idea “Statement of love”. The problem with Alternative Meat Co. was that they didn’t, at least in consumers eyes. Our strategy to refresh their frozen food packaging range focused on targeting the fast growing flexitarian consumer base. Those who love meat but are trying to cut down their meat consumption for various reasons. The brand strategy helped us in crafting the design idea ‘The meat experience’. It was all about bringing the wonderful taste and experience of meat, with the benefits of a plant based diet. Our new design system adopts the codes of meat packaging through the choice of colours, typography &amp; illustration, with a delightful twist in our animal illustrations that are actually created with plants!
