In the world of alternative foods, every successful brand has a clear point of view. The problem with Alternative Meat Co. was that they didn’t, at least in consumers eyes.

Our strategy to refresh their frozen food packaging range focused on targeting the fast growing flexitarian consumer base. Those who love meat but are trying to cut down their meat consumption for various reasons. The brand strategy helped us in crafting the design idea ‘The meat experience’.

It was all about bringing the wonderful taste and experience of meat, with the benefits of a plant based diet. Our new design system adopts the codes of meat packaging through the choice of colours, typography & illustration, with a delightful twist in our animal illustrations that are actually created with plants! The new packs stand out proudly on shelf through their distinctive illustration style and bold colour blocking, making meat lovers do a double take at the aisle.
